Rock On 2 is releasing eight years after its first part. Rock On was one of its kind movies. The movie was centered around rock music and 4 friends. Rock On has set a high benchmark for other music based movies in Bollywood. Music of Shankar Ehasan Loy maintained the flavor of rock in it, which remains with you even after eight years of release. This is why the hope was high when Rock On 2 was announced.
Over all, the album of 'Rock On 2' leaves much to be desired and is not a patch on the soundtrack of the prequel.

Music and Songs of rock on movie have created such effect that they are still remembered. That is why the hopes were high for the Rock On 2 Music. Somehow Music of Rock On 2 failed to touch the benchmark which was set by its predecessor.
The part 2 is about to release in few days expectations are high, but the soundtrack is mediocre. You do not need to be an expert to understand the music of a film. most of the songs do not stay in your mind right after they end. The producer stayed with the actors to sing songs also, instead, they should have used professional artists to sing a few songs to create that magic.
The first song of album Jaago is about the how people need to make their life meaning instead of the following society. Shraddha Kapoor has sung Udja Re which is not that effective. You Known what I mean is sung by Farhan Akhtar and is highly average. Manzar Naya is good with music. Tere Mere Dil is sung by Shraddha again and it not a song to remember for long time.
Woh Jahan is a song which has good rock touch with it. Sung by Farhan and Shraddha is a good song. 'Hoi Kiw/Chalo Chalo' in the voice of Usha Uthup is great song with lyrics and music too. Ishq Mastana is a Sufi song and somehow a misfit in the rock album.
Over all, the album of 'Rock On 2' leaves much to be desired and is not a patch on the soundtrack of the prequel.
